Mitchell Technical College is close to having all of its programs on one campus with Tuesday’s groundbreaking of an ag power diesel building. The building will feature ag power and light truck labs, which means the 7,270-square-foot light truck lab building located at 115 Pepsi Street will be sold once the new building is completed.

Minnesota Soybean Processors (MnSP) and Louisiana-based CGB Enterprises are starting construction on a $400 million soybean crushing plant one mile west of Casselton, N.D. The two entities named the venture, North Dakota Soybean Processors, LLC.
A trucking company with roots in Waterloo dating back to 1949 will be sticking around for years to come. Warren Transport executives, with the help of Grow Cedar Valley ambassadors and Mayor Quentin Hart, broke ground on a new 36,000 square foot headquarters Thursday at 3124 Titan Trail off Ridgeway Avenue and Greyhound Drive. “It’s been a long time coming. Announced today, McGough earned the WELL CertifiedTM - V2 Pilot Program designation for its company headquarters located at 2737 Fairview Ave N in St. Paul. The WELL Certification is a significant achievement becoming just the second building in Minnesota to earn such an award.
The very first time Chris interviewed at McGough, he knew it was different. “I remember interviewing with Dave McLaughlin initially and we began talking about my time in the service. I was explaining some of the challenges with being enlisted and handling training while working full time and he just stopped me and said, “That’s ok, we’ll work around it.” That’s when I knew – working at McGough was just different.”

Ecolab Inc. has reached an agreement with Public Art Saint Paul, a nonprofit that engages artists in shaping the form and experience of public spaces in the city, to donate Above, Above, the iconic Alexander Liberman sculpture that has been the centerpiece of the outdoor Osborn Plaza at the former Ecolab Corporate Center in downtown Saint Paul for nearly 45 years. Public Art Saint Paul and McGough Construction will move the sculpture to Western Sculpture Park at 387 Marion Street in Saint Paul.

Concordia College recently announced its plan to renovate two science buildings as a part of their largest capital project yet. McGough Construction, named General Contractor on the project, is pleased to be a part of this dynamic project with EYP Architecture, Foss Architecture, and all of the project partners who will work to realize the vision of crafting spaces that support the changing shift in educational paradigms.
The St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development will begin a remodel and expansion of its Minnetonka, MN facility. The non-profit, whose services include early childhood education; pediatric therapies; mental health services; life-phase services; and early intervention & support, will adapt the space to include a new mental health clinic and other spaces to support their services. Pope Architects, McGough Construction, and all of the project partners are gearing up to begin construction in late april.

The 330,000 square-foot healthcare facility, which is currently under construction and slated for completion in 2016, boasts a number of unique collaborative spaces that can be utilized by staff and patients alike.
Last week the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra held its first rehearsal in the new Ordway Center Concert Hall, located in Saint Paul, MN. The Star Tribune highlighted the unique features of the brand new concert hall and the strategies that have gone into making this concert hall a premier concert venue. Even with tight site constraints, rough winter weather, and unique acoustical properties, architectural firm HGA and all of the project partners have worked tirelessly with general contractor McGough Construction to ensure precision in quality and a timely opening of the concert hall.
Even the most efficient of teams can be hindered by temperatures that hit 35 below zero! This week in Duluth, MN the temperatures hit a staggering low, preventing construction crews from working their normal hours on the new Maurices Headquarters project.
McGough is eager to help Maurices escape their current cramped quarters to a spacious 11-story building, and a little cold air isn’t going to stop them. The blistering cold Minnesota winters are no stranger to McGough, whose teams have plenty of experience working in and addressing the challenges that come with the winter elements.

The University of Minnesota Ambulatory Care Center is taking shape after more than a year of construction. The 330,000 square-foot structure, located on the U of M's East Bank, will house brand new space for clinics currently located in the Phillips Wangensteen building. Substantial completion for the project isexpectedinOctober 2015.
Construction on the new Optum campus, located in Eden Prairie, is nearing closure. The 500,000 square-foot building will be 15 stories, making it the tallest building in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Finishing touches are being completed on the project.
CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center at St. Cloud Hospital was named one of the nations top 50 cardiovascular hospitals by Truven Health Analytics. The Top 50 heart hospitals were selected for having significantly higher survival rates, lower costs, fewer complications, and shorter hospital stays.
St. John’s Abbey was recently highlighted in The Catholic Spirit news in relation to a new book that was published about the construction and design of this unique worship space. The project, which was completed over fifty years ago in conjunction with Marcel Breuer and Associates, was ahead of its time in terms of collaborative delivery approach, as well as modern engineering and construction methods.

Macalester College’s Leonard Center was ranked second nationally for the best athletic facility in 2014 among all NCAA Division II and Division III institutions. McGough was chosen as General Contractor on the 175,000 square-foot athletic center, which was completed in 2008. 302-room Hotel to Open on Light Rail Line in Early 2016 ST. PAUL, MN – June 18, 2014 McGough announced today the forthcoming development of a new Hyatt Regency hotel on its Bloomington Central Station mixed-use development site. The 302-room property, to be operated by Aimbridge Hospitality, will be the next in a series of transit-oriented projects located at Bloomington Central Station, a 50-acre redevelopment site on the METRO Blue (Hiawatha) Line in Bloomington, Minnesota. The project will break ground in fall of 2014 and is expected to open in early 2016.
