In response to successful regional growth with the launch of our Sioux Falls office in 2021 and Rapid City office in 2023, we’re proud to announce a significant leadership expansion. This expansion includes the promotion of our former general manager, Clark Hagen to a new regionally focused role and the appointment of Ron Steffen as new general manager.
Ron Steffen has recently joined McGough as General Manager in Sioux Falls, bringing with him over two decades of experience in managing construction professionals for highly technical agricultural projects across the Midwest. Ron holds an MBA from Concordia University St. Paul, a PMP certification, and has recently completed an executive leadership program through Harvard Law.
“I’m looking forward to helping lead the way in Sioux Falls, collaborating with our exceptional team and leveraging our collective expertise to not only meet but surpass expectations. Being a part of McGough means embracing a legacy of excellence. I’m enthusiastic about this team and taking our projects to new heights while continuing to set a new standard for construction in Sioux Falls.” – Ron Steffen
Clark Hagen, former general manager of McGough’s Sioux operation, has assumed the role of Regional Director – Preconstruction. In this new role, Clark will primarily focus on leading business development, estimating, and preconstruction in Sioux Falls. Additionally, he will be instrumental in establishing and expanding a broad self-perform capability across the Dakotas. Clark’s extensive experience in leading preconstruction efforts across the Dakotas positions him well to continue his success in driving growth initiatives in Sioux Falls and the wider region.
“The transition from General Manager to Regional Director is a testament to the importance of adaptability in our industry. It’s not just about managing projects, but about strategically positioning our operations to thrive in an ever-changing market. I look forward to embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with this new role and continuing to drive innovation and excellence for McGough and the construction industry across the region.” – Clark Hagen
