In 2021, Graco initiated construction of a spacious 538,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Dayton to accommodate the company’s tremendous business growth. The manufacturer of industrial pumps and sprayers was feeling cramped at its Minneapolis headquarters and purchased 100 acres to accommodate a brand-new state-of-the-art facility.
Having been a proud construction partner of Graco for more than 15 years, McGough was poised to deliver this project for Graco, knowing the exacting standards required. In doing so, McGough was able to help the team navigate several procurement challenges and scope changes during design phase to keep the project on budget and schedule.
Delivering it’s newest facility in Dayton, McGough turned over control of the plant and office building in August 2022. The structure includes:
- Architectural pre-cast
- Curtainwall
- Storefront
- Metal panel exterior
- Two-story office
- Laboratory and R&D
Sharing in success from the first building, McGough was hired again in the Fall of 2021 to build the second phase at their Dayton, Minnesota location.
Building II will be a 529,000 SF facility with steel/pre-cast structure with curtainwall, storefront, and metal panel exterior. There will also be 60 loading docks, 30,000 SF of office area build-out, and utility infrastructure and structural components for automation retrieval system.
