The Bennett County Hospital project in Martin, South Dakota continues to make strong progress as construction advances on the new hospital addition and phased improvements to the existing facility. Recent site footage shows foundation and below-grade work well underway, with the footprint of the new addition now clearly established. Concrete foundation walls are in place, excavation and backfill operations are ongoing, and crews are actively progressing work at key building tie-in areas between the new and existing structure.
This transformative healthcare project includes approximately 15,100 square feet of new construction, 7,900 square feet of interior gut and remodel, 1,800 square feet of minor interior remodel, and about 5,000 square feet of building removal. When complete, the approximately 24,700-square-foot facility will support essential rural healthcare services including emergency room triage, imaging, 15 patient rooms, lab, physical and occupational therapy, home health, and support services. The project also includes important site improvements such as new parking, utility connections, and modifications to support emergency access.
