A new K-8th grade school for the Grand Forks Air Force Base and the Grand Forks Public School system. The Grand Forks Public School District is one of ten school districts awarded a percentage of a large grant from the federal government for schools on military bases. This project integrates sustainable building systems such as solar, an energy dashboard, materials inspired by biophilic design, and native landscape design that also serve as a learning tool for applied STEAM education. For students from military families, it’s a gateway to understanding the unique environment of Grand Forks and the Red River Valley
