Carleton College Music + Performance Arts Commons

The Music + Performance Commons is an addition to the Weitz Center for Creativity, which has the mission of serving as a working laboratory for creativity—not only in the arts, but across the entire curriculum. The addition of the music department to the Weitz Center fulfills its cross-disciplinary goals and energizes the facility. The new music addition features a 400-seat performance space that focuses on music and dance performances, as well as hosting visiting artists. In addition, the new facility has rehearsal spaces, ensemble rooms, faculty studios and practice rooms. A flexible student-driven gallery is available for students to schedule and stage exhibitions.
