McGough worked with St. Mary’s to evaluate the existing condition of its nearly 100-year-old cathedral and separate parish center facility. Following a visioning process with church members, our team developed options and alternatives for remodeling, new construction or relocation. The subsequent project involved waterproofing the basement of the cathedral; tying the roof run-off into the storm sewer; installing a new copper roof; tuck-pointing masonry; adding exhaust air in the attic space and adding a new ADA-compliant restroom. McGough also reroofed the parish center, replaced classroom windows with new energy-efficient units, upgraded two restrooms to ADA code and added an elevator for ADA access.
