Project Description

This project was a 64,500 SF addition to an existing wafer manufacturing facility. The scope included 8,400 SF of Class 10 fab area and additional 4,500 SF of future Class 10 area, all with waffle slab construction and sub-fab. The mechanical and electrical scopes included stand-alone HVAC and utilities. After being competitively selected for this fast-track project, McGough worked with the owner and the design-team to help finalize design and drive schedule. Mechanical/electrical subcontractors were subsequently selected, with owner involvement, on pricing and experience using the design narratives and preliminary design. Their early involvement was also key in getting long-lead equipment ordered and the design finalized. McGough self-performed concrete and masonry and bid-out concrete supply, rebar and rebar install.
