Building for the Next Generation
Presently under construction, this project is a 9,000 SF addition to combine two chiller plants into one central plant with a 3,500 SF courtyard addition for future previsions to add two 2-MEG generators to back up the critical production systems.
Installed one new 13.8Kv substation 5 along with 4000AMP switch gear. Removed old fuel oil tank and installed new 20,000-gallon tank for exiting steam boilers and existing back-up generators. New chilled water plant consists of (3) 1150 TON centrifugal chillers, with primary secondary piping for central building along with tertiary pumps for east campus. For the centrifugal chillers (3) 1200TON cross flow cooling towers with remote 65,000 Gallon stainless steel sump. During the winter months and early shoulder season the plant will utilize two 225 TON air cooled screw chillers with integral free cooling to support process cooling loads.
