Derek brings more than 25 years of construction experience across a wide range of roles, from Vice President and General Manager to Project Manager and Tradesperson. His hands-on background gives him a deep understanding of how structures and facilities of all types come together, with a focus on building strong teams, precise project planning, and accurate budget and schedule forecasting. Throughout his career, Derek has delivered successful outcomes across sectors such as industrial, manufacturing, data centers, mission-critical, government, aviation, hospitality, and multifamily.
As Vice President of National Operations Group, Derek focuses on advancing operational protocols, supporting large-scale project delivery, and strengthening McGough’s national presence. He holds LEED AP and HCC credentials and earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management from North Dakota State University.
