Many of our interns go on to become full-time employees, too!

  • Get early exposure to career pathway
  • Plenty of networking opportunities

Meaningful Work for a Meaningful Experience

We want you to get a dynamic experience that takes what you’ve learned in school and shows you how to apply it in real life situations, benefiting from the experience of people who once were in your shoes. This isn’t a busy-work, coffee-delivering internship (although we do love coffee!) You’ll see all sides of the job, from the worksite to the office, and be asked to contribute in meaningful ways.

It’s also a chance to meet new people, form friendships, and have fun. McGough takes pride in being a work-hard, play-hard type of company, and you’ll get to participate in social gatherings, team-building, and all the things that make McGough a great place to work.

Building Experience and Relationships

Meet Alexa

Alexa’s experience as a VDC/QC intern has been anything but typical. She’s traveled to multiple project sites, stepped outside her comfort zone, and discovered new career paths she didn’t know were possible. Along the way, she’s gained confidence, built new skills, and shown she’s ready to jump in wherever she’s needed—all while having a great time.

MEET Daniel

As a Project Management Intern, Daniel has gained hands-on experience in every phase of a project, from scheduling and pursuits to project closeout and turnover. But what stands out most to him about his McGough internship are the people, memories, and lessons learned along the way.

meet andrew and Quinn

At McGough, internships go beyond spreadsheets. Finance intern Andrew and Accounting intern Quinn are gaining real-world experience that’s preparing them for what’s next. From diving deep into projects to learning how to stay organized, they’re walking away with invaluable lessons they’ll carry into their careers.

MEET David

Since joining McGough’s Intern Class of 2019, David has embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and determination. As an MEP Assistant Project Manager, he has the opportunity to contribute to transformative projects that will shape the future for generations to come.
