McGough’s commitment to providing clients with exceptional experiences spans from the start of a project through its closeout and handoff to the owner. We provide a holistic project transition by focusing on the following core components:
As part of the owner’s fit-up, McGough helps coordinate the installation and connection of owner’s furniture and equipment within the facility. We strive to support partners and subcontractors on site to ensure that the process is efficient and smooth for the owner and facility managers.
McGough provides comprehensive on-site training on building systems and maintenance for facility managers and owners through the use of in-person, written, and video documentation. We aim to promote a high level of post-occupancy operating proficiency for our clients.
Operations and Maintenance Manuals (O&M Closeout Manuals) are produced in electronic format to ensure that owner and facility managers can readily access the critical information needed to maintain and utilize the numerous systems and building capabilities post-construction. The electronic format of our Closeout Manuals enables quick and easy search and eliminates the need to use building space to house these critical documents. Each Electronic Closeout Manual is vetted and reviewed by project architects and engineers. From high-level details down to the minutest detail of the facility, information is compiled with the highest level of accuracy. Core contents of each manual include, but are not limited to:
● Current drawing log
● List of attic stock
● Building permits
● Final punch lists
● Certificate of substantial completion
● Certificate of occupancy
● Construction meetings
● Special inspections and testing
● McGough as-built drawings
Throughout the life of the project, the entire cost process is transparent. Final cost accounting is the last step in ensuring that expectations were met or exceeded and that detailed documentation of all costs has occurred prior to hand-off.
If applicable to the project, sustainability documentation is maintained throughout the duration of the project. McGough’s reputation as a leader in LEED and B3 certifications has enabled us to easily partner and support our clients in helping them to achieve desired certification.
Third party testing is completed for all mechanical and electrical systems within the facility to ensure proper operation prior to final completion. McGough’s internal team of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing experts works hand-in-hand with the commissioning agent to ensure we relevantly relate these details in all closeout documentation for the client.
