Building for the Next Generation
Despite being the busiest library in Minnesota, the Roseville Library was dark, dated and inefficient. A much-needed renovation and second-floor expansion completely transformed the 1980s building. The addition of daylighting, open spaces and views to the outside accomplished the transformation. Open sight lines, efficient space layouts, an automated sorting system and other technologies provide accessibility and self-servicing capabilities. The 74,175 SF project achieved LEED Gold certification.
Municipal projects provide essential public services, programs and facilities, and they frequently incorporate a variety of governmental uses into their design platforms. They typically require attention to users’ diverse – sometimes competing – needs, which are often budget-driven. Our collaborative approach and responsiveness to clients’ diverse requirements makes McGough ideally suited to be the construction partner for municipal and government projects.
