Building for the Next Generation
How long have you been in the construction industry?
Shy of six years!
How did you end up in construction?
It was an accident. During my junior and senior year, I had enough credits to graduate early so I enrolled in this work experience class. This meant that I was only in school for half of the time and went to work during the other half. I was a receptionist for a small general contractor and jumped on full time after graduation. I was originally in school for Public Relations, but they wanted to train me in Accounting. Long story short, I really liked working with the Project Managers there, changed my degree, enrolled at Dunwoody College and met Karin McCabe!
What do you enjoy most about the construction industry?
Every day can be like a box of really great and not-so great chocolates.
What do you like most about McGough Construction?
The people! Have you ever met someone that was so excited about your growth, professional development, seems like your personal cheerleader and just wanted to see you do your very best?! Yeah, that’s McGough’s people in a nutshell.
What do you like to do on your free-time?
I actually have some free time between school and work, believe it or not! I play defensive line for a women’s flag football league. I also recreate armor sets from video games and love to read way too much. I want to get into roller derby after graduation.
