As markets continue to demand more sophisticated contractors across the U.S., McGough continues to expand capabilities and offerings to meet the rising demand. In doing so, McGough looks forward to providing services to Federal clients with Brandon Davis on board as – Director of Federal Project Development.
Mitchell Technical College is close to having all of its programs on one campus with Tuesday’s groundbreaking of an ag power diesel building. The building will feature ag power and light truck labs, which means the 7,270-square-foot light truck lab building located at 115 Pepsi Street will be sold once the new building is completed.
McGough Construction wants to invest in Rapid City. In an era of remote work, the Minneapolis-based company has opened a brick and mortar storefront in the heart of downtown. But the group is also bringing a level of technology and innovation unique to West River, placing them on the cutting edge of the region's massive building boom.

Gillette Children’s hired LSE Architects and McGough Construction to design and build a new 500+ stall integrated parking and office structure including a welcome center, mediation space and an inclusive playground called Gateway Plaza. Minnesota Soybean Processors (MnSP) and Louisiana-based CGB Enterprises are starting construction on a $400 million soybean crushing plant one mile west of Casselton, N.D. The two entities named the venture, North Dakota Soybean Processors, LLC.
A trucking company with roots in Waterloo dating back to 1949 will be sticking around for years to come. Warren Transport executives, with the help of Grow Cedar Valley ambassadors and Mayor Quentin Hart, broke ground on a new 36,000 square foot headquarters Thursday at 3124 Titan Trail off Ridgeway Avenue and Greyhound Drive. “It’s been a long time coming. Announced today, McGough earned the WELL CertifiedTM - V2 Pilot Program designation for its company headquarters located at 2737 Fairview Ave N in St. Paul. The WELL Certification is a significant achievement becoming just the second building in Minnesota to earn such an award.
The very first time Chris interviewed at McGough, he knew it was different. “I remember interviewing with Dave McLaughlin initially and we began talking about my time in the service. I was explaining some of the challenges with being enlisted and handling training while working full time and he just stopped me and said, “That’s ok, we’ll work around it.” That’s when I knew – working at McGough was just different.”
Announced last week, McGough was named a 2022 Distinguished Building Award Recipient by the TEXO Construction Association for its excellence in building the Gene and Jerry Jones Family American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge.

At the Grinnell College Baccalaureate ceremony on Sunday, May 19, 2019, McGough was named an "Honorary Member of the Class of 2019" in recognition of McGough's outstanding commitment to the students of Grinnell College.

Congratulations to Butler Square on being one of just six buildings to receive the 2017 Building Energy Challenge Award from the city of Minneapolis. Despite being over 111 years old, Butler Square has the lowest energy usage of any building in the challenge.
At the Dec. 22 board meeting, your MLEC Board of Directors unanimously voted to move forward with the new operations facility project. MLEC will be working with Architectural Resources Inc. and McGough Construction to bring the project to fruition. Located near the junction of Highways 169 and 18, the new site is ideally positioned to more effectively and efficiently serve MLEC’s growing member base, while still having easy access to reach the entire membership from a single location. McGough Headquarters Recognized as a Finance & Commerce Top Project
McGough is proud to have our recently completed company headquarters included in Finance & Commerce’s 12th Annual Top Projects Series.
1600 Spruce Tree, formerly Spruce Tree Centre, has been awarded LEED Gold. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the foremost program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained for improved environmental and human health performance.
McGough hosted a “topping off” ceremony on December 13th for Grinnell College’s new Humanities & Social Sciences Complex (HSSC). The HSSC project is a 207,799 sf renovation and expansion of two existing academic buildings into one unified complex that includes classrooms, offices, auditorium, and academic support offices.
It was a great day in Watertown, SD, as Prairie Lakes Healthcare System celebrated the placement of the last steel beam on the Prairie Lakes Specialty Clinic.

Ecolab Inc. has reached an agreement with Public Art Saint Paul, a nonprofit that engages artists in shaping the form and experience of public spaces in the city, to donate Above, Above, the iconic Alexander Liberman sculpture that has been the centerpiece of the outdoor Osborn Plaza at the former Ecolab Corporate Center in downtown Saint Paul for nearly 45 years. Public Art Saint Paul and McGough Construction will move the sculpture to Western Sculpture Park at 387 Marion Street in Saint Paul.

The dedication ceremony for the Ames Laboratory Sensitive Instrument Facility was held last week in Ames, Iowa. The ceremony marked the opening of the 13,300-square foot facility designed to house next-generation and current instruments, which includes electron and scanning probe microscopes.

Minnesota Concrete Council awarded two McGough Construction projects today at the 2015 Annual Meeting and Awards Program. The Ordway Center for Performing Arts - Concert Hall and Production Wing Expansion project received the 2015 Structural Design Merit Award, an award that recognizes cast-in-place structures which enhances the overall design of the building.
