Building for the Next Generation
Hearts & Hammers is a Twin Cities non-profit organization that provides exterior home improvement assistance for deserving seniors and disabled homeowners so they can continue to live independently.
This weekend, a team of McGough employees participated in the “Pedal in Place” fundraiser for Gillette Children’s Hospital.
McGough Construction volunteers joined NAWIC – Minneapolis/St Paul Chapter members yesterday at Sacred Heart Catholic School to give 3rd and 4th graders a little insight on the construction industry.
McGough Construction was honored as a Minnesota Keystone honoree! The Minnesota Keystone Program recognizes companies that donate at least 2-percent of their revenue, pre-tax, to the community – McGough donated over 5-percent this year.
This week, all of McGough took pause to honor the life and contributions of Leo McGough, one of the original founders of our company, who recently passed away at the age of 94.
As a designated Yellow Ribbon company, we are dedicated to supporting our nation’s troops and their families. Consistent with this, we are excited about a new project we began this week in partnership with Housing our Heroes Minnesota.
We don’t always eat healthy here at McGough, but for many people eating healthy is just not an option financially. McGough set off this morning to help in the fight against nutritional poverty that afflicts so many in South Minneapolis.
McGough’s commitment to supporting our veterans and their families extends well beyond policies and procedures. As a designated Yellow Ribbon company, we seek to build strong relationships with our nation’s troops and their families through multiple levels of outreach. We are honored to support organizations such as Defending the Blue Line, who actively work to make positive impacts on the military community.
On Thursday, June 5th McGough Construction and its subcontractors gathered on their respective job sites for a moment of silence as part of OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down Event, which is held to raise awareness on the leading cause of deaths on construction sites each year.
McGough is proud and excited to continue a tradition of love and support for the elderly this holiday season. For over fifteen years, McGough has continued a committed relationship with Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly. This organization helps combat loneliness and isolation that often parallels with aging.
On Tuesday, November 25th McGough partnered with 96.3 K-TWIN, Cub Foods, and CH Robinson to help Team Perk in the KARE 11 Food Fight. Even though Team Perk came in third, everyone came out a winner.
Who says you can’t have fun while raising awareness and money for a good cause? McGough participated in and held multiple events in October to help raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
On Thursday, July 31st, 2014, 180 Degrees Board of Directors celebrated with partners and friends for the grand opening of a new shelter facility for young girls in Saint Paul, Minnesota, named Brittany’s Place.
