Housing a Hero in Shoreview, MN

As a designated Yellow Ribbon company, we are dedicated to supporting our nation’s troops and their families.  Consistent with this, we are excited about a new project we began this week in partnership with Housing our Heroes Minnesota.

Housing Our Heroes Minnesota is a non-profit organization that builds handicap-accessible homes for disabled military veterans in Twin Cities community. As the home begins construction, it creates amazing opportunities for dozens of St. Paul College students who have an interest in the construction industry. Students volunteer their time and in return acquire valuable hands-on instruction and experience in the construction field.

Monday, July 1st, 2015 marked the groundbreaking of a disabled veteran’s new home in Shoreview, MN. The Iraq war veteran who will reside in the completed home was in attendance at the event, along with his wife and family, numerous dignitaries, community members, project sponsors and representatives, and our Yellow Ribbon Committee members to celebrate the beginning of the construction of his new home.

We are grateful for the work of Housing our Heroes Minnesota and delighted to be a partner in “giving back” to our nation’s deserving heroes.
