Building for the Next Generation
In celebration of the new lab, staff at the Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center (MAISRC) tossed fish in a pond to commemorate its opening at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus. The total project consisted of 10,000-square feet, with the facility having three primary components including; aquatic holding facilities, biological lab/research facilities and office/administration facilities. A 5,000-square foot winter storage facility was also included in the program. The goal of this project was to create a modern research environment to maximize Minnesota’s ability to respond to current and future threats to Minnesota’s lakes – Mission accomplished! Congratulations to the project team and all project partners who helped make the MAISRC project such a success!
