InterACT is the set of state-of-the-art, partner-facing tools McGough uses to facilitate the interaction of project teams. Our use of these processes, technologies, and protocols enhances collaboration for all project stakeholders and supports lean construction practices that deliver optimum value to project owners throughout their project lifecycles.

Our InterACT suite of capabilities includes:

  1. Intelligent Cost Tools: A set of estimating and cost modeling tools that include robust historical and current market cost databases, ICAT (Interactive Cost Analysis Tool) – a proprietary application that enables interactive scenario modeling and creates revised budgets instantly so that project teams can make informed decisions in real-time as program adjustments or creative value engineering needs are considered.
  2. VirtualBUILD: A set of virtual modeling tools, based on state-of-the-art technologies that integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) information with real-time scheduling and cost estimating input. VirtualBUILD is used during preconstruction planning and construction implementation to facilitate project coordination between the client, design team, contractor and subcontractors. By virtually building before construction commences, the team can identify constructability challenges, develop phasing plans, manage workflows, execute clash detection, and develop strategies for implementing “just-in-time” lean practices to ensure cost-effective, high-quality project delivery.
  3. Content Sharing Tools: Web-based project and content management applications that provide secure access for shared document storage and retrieval and management of key project deliverables including RFIs, transmittals, submittals, meeting minutes, and project reports.
  4. LeanBUILD: A set of lean protocols and processes utilized during construction to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of the project. LeanBUILD practices, used where applicable, include: modular construction of form systems that are pre-assembled off-site in conditioned warehouse facilities, the use of mechanical assemblies/skids, plug and play electrical panels, coordination of precast embeds welded at the structural steel supplier’s shop, pre-fabricated window systems, shop fabricated gas piping/fixtures in lab facilities, just-in-time delivery of materials, and more.
