McGough assigns highly experienced, full-time, on-site supervisory staff to coordinate and direct work. We establish on-site organization and authority, schedule weekly jobsite meetings, monitor subcontractor progress, prepare and distribute summary reports, and document schedule changes.
McGough project superintendents actively monitor sequencing and on-site coordination of all trades. Materials, equipment, availability and scheduling components are reviewed in weekly jobsite meetings.
McGough is responsible for all construction site activities including security. Allocated jobsite office and parking areas provide a central hub for project management.
McGough’s state-of-the-art warehouse, spanning over 70,000 square feet, is utilized for the production of prefabrication and storage. This massive facility enables us to prefabricate numerous materials, as well as pre-assemble formwork, out of the elements and in the most efficient manner feasible. Over 90% of project materials are kept inside, rather than in the yard. When temperatures go sub-zero and wet conditions slam the Midwest, clients can rest assured that time won’t be wasted on treating or moving materials. McGough takes it a step further by virtually planning formwork positioning down to the inch on where it’s placed on site. Efficiency for storage, impeccable categorization, and commitment for inventory control are just some of the hallmarks of how McGough does prefabrication better.
Project superintendents meticulously review bids and verify completion of work. Scope of work, contract amounts and any changes are tracked and closely monitored by the project manager and cost accountants to maintain current and correct information.
Our project cost accounting systems provide timely and reliable data through detailed budget, labor cost, subcontractor, change order and progress reports.
McGough is dedicated to quality. We minimize the size of final punch lists by managing work according to areas of project responsibility. Retainage is released when all work is accepted, lien waivers signed and inspections completed.
