Mayo Foundation Stabile Building : Rochester, MN
During the first phase of the project, McGough completed construction of the Mayo Stabile Building, a nine-story lab facility in Downtown Rochester. The project includes a state-of-the-art Autopsy Center; a processing area that serves as the sorting and distribution for lab samples throughout the United States; and a service and pedestrian tunnel connecting the building to the downtown Mayo system. Thereafter, McGough completed construction of a four-story vertical expansion that houses the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics Research Facility. The core and shell consists of an extension of existing systems: lightweight concrete structure, precast concrete wall panels, aluminum curtain wall, masonry core walls and elevators. The additional laboratory space is approximately 77,800 square feet.
